Our Leadership
The Town of Coosada operates under a Mayor/City Council form of government. Our leadership is dedicated to the philosophy that "nothing can be accomplished if you don't work as a team." We are committed to fiscal responsibility, with a standing policy to always stay within our budget.
Mayor Anthony Powell
Mayor Anthony Powell was elected to lead Coosada with a vision of unity and teamwork. A native of Montgomery and a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Mayor Powell dedicated 26 years to serving in the U.S. Navy before retiring.
"I can tell you nothing can be accomplished if you don't work as a team," Mayor Powell says. "Everyone needs someone to assist them in some kind of way to be successful."
